Stuart Morris MCSP
Stuart qualified from the Wolverhampton School of Physiotherapy in 1991 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. He gained extensive experience within the NHS and has also worked in New Zealand as a Senior Physiotherapist. In 1996 he moved into private practice and also worked at the Manchester City Football Club Sports Injuries Clinic.
Stuart set up the Leigh Road Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic in 2003 becoming Director/Senior Physiotherapist and has established the clinic as a quality provider of evidence-based physiotherapy treatment.
Stuart is a specialist in musculoskeletal conditions and uses acupuncture along with evidence-based physiotherapy techniques and exercise prescription to ensure successful treatment. He has established excellent working relationships with many of the regions leading orthopaedic consultants and works closely with them to ensure a successful outcome for their patients following injection therapy or surgical procedure. Stuart has worked closely with specialist consultants on a variety of complex cases.
Michael Livesey
Having originally started in a background of personal training following a BSc in Sports Science, Mike graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. He initially worked in the NHS at Bolton PCT and then with 5 Boroughs Partnership Foundation, Liverpool as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
Mike joined the clinic in 2010 and has since completed his MSc in Manual Therapy. For 5 years, Mike provided physiotherapy cover for Manchester United Academy teams delivering pitch side intervention and injury rehabilitation at an elite level. Mike is Acupuncture and Pilates trained and has undergone specialised training for vestibular assessment and rehabilitation.
Emily Stewart
Emily joined the clinic in April 2024 to focus on Sports & Therapeutic Massage and is a great addition to our team. She is a Chartered Physiotherapist and has a VTCT Level 4 certificate in Sports Massage.
Her experience and level of expertise enables her to perform effective massage techniques and rehabilitation of soft tissues. Emily uses her extensive knowledge to assist not just sports people, but anybody wishing to recover from or guard against a soft tissue injury or condition.
